december is here but where have you been?

It's friday - they are talking about holiday related depression on tv. i hear that sista!
we all havent decided what to do xmas- will it be here? will it be at erica's or will it be at my folks? it may be the same suspects from thanksgiving; parents, erica, us t3, dave and juilliett, amy and francis. a good crowd. thanksgiving was lovely although mine ended at about 9 pm when i fell asleep in pooty's bed. i was drinking white wine- and well my tolernance is as low as ever- its like being 16 again when i drink - no more like being 15- i am sure my tolerence was better at 16! anyways all is well in our northern hidey hole!
we had crazy rain this past monday- after crazy snow on sat and sun (crazy not in amounts but in its sudden appearance and fluffiness) which led to the crazy rain that led to the flooding of our basement- about 5-6 inches. some of our boxes got mucked up- i was down there in my crocs freezing me hinney off- pulling stuff upstairs and rearranging our storage area under the stairs. it was all kinda something i have never had to compete with before- flooding. our whole street suffered as people were sump pumping all day and days after having all their ruined stuff removed by big removal trucks - taking sopping stuff wherever it is sopping stuff goes after it's become sopping.
talula ahs not been amused with the being stuck in because of big rain. and showed her unamusement the following days with many a hissy fit in public. a break down with erica and i and yesterday a happy play at the tree at rei ended with a screaming fest because one of her playmates at the tree wanted to put talula to bed- arms apparently started flaying and much hitting of her own head occured.
fun.
national novel writing month is over once again- my third participation year. this year my story was mostly about an ex david bowie impersonator on the run from the irs- who ends up deformed by a bee sting and used by midgets who run a circus freak breeding camp to try and breed more freaks. the story remains unfinished- it is over 50,000 words and needs to end.
i am not sure how it has gotten very complex and needs alot of ends tied up.
we haven't seen much of erica as of recent- she being very busy and working very much.
it is sad that we have lost the weekly dinners we had begun to have-
but the seperatness of life is what happens i guess.
hopefully we will get our weekly meals back at some point in new year- and some crafting going on.
bring on the creativity aside from the writing i havent been involved in much at least obvious creativity in the for the sake of creation alone.
i have three classes that i am taking over this month-
two on frieday and one on saturday.
the two on friday are at the greenlake yogalife studio. and the saturday is at the queen anne branch.
i am hoping i can successfully replace the teachers who are there now without losing students as theyall pretty popular classes.
fingers crossed.
i have subbed one class since i been here - three weeks ago - it was like beginning all over again.
i am attending the class i am taking over tmrw- with timmy- talula is going off to hang with my folks as well as attending jennie's class today. i hope they dont hate me compared to their present teachers.
i hope i can be a good yoga leader.
ugh.
working in studios will be very different from what i amused to back in uk.
there is a possibility to make really good money ( not my number one priority but every little helps as they say in that freaking tesco ad) as payment is weighted on class numbers- equally the possibility of losing money.
hoping i can be enough of a success to keep the classes going.
again cross those fingers.
so the new friday will have nana staying here for about an hr - to transition between me and tim coming home. as my first class is at 4 and he doesnt usually get back til half four.
anyway i will be so freaking out come the 28th december.
pooty birthday coming up-
15 days and counting til she has been with us for three years- on the external that is.
what other exciting news is breaking here in seattle?
i recently heard from a friend i had in kindergarden and beyond-
danika- who is from bflo but also now lives in seattle - has a ten month old daughter and has an english husband- and they live less then five miles away from here in ballard!
weird shit people.
we knew each other through waterfront elementary. and then we remet at the age of 15 - and now what 15 years later...
crazy small world keeps getting smaller.
so we will meet up when she and her little fam get back from scotland!
wow!
we are all covered by healthcare now! happy days time to get tim to a dentist and the rest in for an initial check up.
the system we are on is called group health- and it has some pretty cool allowences- checking tests online- being able to email our doctor alot of internet access to healthcare!
which i think is kinda of cool!
what else?
art show in feb through march at yoga life greenlake. must spend quite a bit on frames and matting soonish.
ok enough babble..pictures to come and more.
xx
