happy end of week everyone.
we have had a funny week.
Tuesday night Talula slept with us- because she couldn't sleep in her room without hiding under the covers- because the flying man was there. and he didn't go away despite Tim trying to chase him out. this went on for ages us finding her under covers sweaty and scared and eventually invited her into our room to take over the bed.
we asked her where he was she said "here " pointing at the same place in the ceiling.
it was kinda freaky especially as the house we live in is old for Seattle. it is about 1912 and just one of those houses that has history and bears a certain weight or spirits or some sort of resonance or memory of it's own self through out history.
anyways we both believe there are things out there that are not explained and that well have been with us both through out our lives in other places other homes..Particularly bury st edmunds!so to see yer kid who doesn't scare usually scared with eyes wide like that- having already faced loads of scary Halloween stuff...well we were a bit freaked as was she.
so the next eve after we all regrouped at home - after our days apart (talula went out with nana while i hit jennie's yoga class and had lunch with her and then picked tim up from work with a flexcar) we burned the sage smudge stick that i bought a couple months back at the Tibetan shop on greenwood ave. we filled both our house and the landladies place with smoke -
set off the alarm and drove them angerily out from the upstairs.
the one had no sympathy for talula's fear what so ever and despite them being very forward thinking and in tuned individuals they were pissed the hell off. the one was like " kids don't sleep alone, no kids sleep alone- that's what kids do try not to sleep alone" anyway talula has always slept alone - aside from when she was still premature and we all slept in one room -
but she was in her bed. and we in ours.
and well sorry but i slept alone as a kid-
and so did most people i know and most people with kids i know now, the kids sleep alone.
so there that is.
and well i know my child and i never saw her act the way she was before.
it was scary for me- us.
err.
so anyways the sage worked on the humans and talula said flying man was gone. oddly enough later the night of the sage burning i was watching Scoop the Woody Allen movie filmed in London that is rather good despite scarlet yowankstain being in it (sorry boys i know most men love her and her bee stung lips but i cant stand her as an actress)
anyways there is a point where the dead are being transported on a boat - with Death himself with a sicle and all - and talula pointed at Death on TV said "flying man"...
?
WTF.
well we all should Know by now that the world is a weird and wonderful place where people try to categorize the hell outta shit- and scientifically prove everything - but guess what human logic and rational does not rule the universe and the mysterious will always be there being all mysterious- so give in accept what seems unacceptable to your logic and be excited there are unexplainable phenomenon.
yes.
so yesterday erica treated us to her QC card at the highlife restaurant in Ballard.
mmm . it was so nice to hear her voice yesterday thinking she was all working and what not-
so airy, poots and myself had lunch - talula was very good with her black play dough ( thats right black play dough! for reals) and ate almost half her kids pizza.
then we did a short trip to discovery park - as i argued that seward park was the most beautiful park in the city - and erica battled for discovery park.
i still put my vote on seward park as its the lake with that big ole dramatic mt rainer sat behind it so majestic...
what is that purple mountains majesty? well it aint purple...
but it has snow on top...
anyways its amazing.
so this weekend-
crazy big ass rummage sale tmrw morning starting at 9 am.
with the fairy who may spend the night after our dinner tonight- in house.
then we are going to hit some car dealerships-
new car old...
new car-hitting the honda dealership and the toyota- the most affordable new car seems to be the toyota yaris which comes in a sedan and goes for upwards of 13,000 bucks.
so payment plans and car loans?
we dont really want that but at same time we are paying out quite a bit on flexcar a month-
it is getting cold and well we are somewhat stunted in our lifestyle without a car.
so payments to hang over our head-
or no car.
ugh.

friday wasnt my day
good morning and good end of the week.
i am writing to you having done my morning yoga - at 6 30 am nice.
then some abs.
nice no.
now i am thinking about trying more recipes from my gluten free veggie cook book - that i got out two days ago from the library along with ten other books.
i love the library here - or the library system. i have so much computer, cooking, yoga knowledges coming in - stuff i wanted to buy great stuff. and music too - i can go online reserve things- search for ages - its like everything in the world eva...
well enough to keep me busy and have me making some yum food - enlivening my yoga practice and assisting my flash knowledge while i chill with new good tunes.
looking forward to exploring richard freeman's yoga matrix- six cds people six!
last night we had some "south of the border zucchini pancakes" dairy free (until i added goats cheese) low carb and wheat and gluten free and friggin yum.
served with salsa and cheese...mmm
need to get some index cards for writing these down, need a printer for scanning and printing of receipes from all me books...
so today i may try either a wheat free chili or a southwestern style corn choweder with coconut milk... mmm
airy fairy is coming over for dinner tonight.
be nice to have something ready.
need to get some cables today-
a scanner power cord , a cable to connect the stereo to my computer.
god i can set up wireless priting if i find such a printer.. and wireless music?
i am sure it is poss but i cant remember how right now.
sorted all my creative tasks for the week - yeah- quite amazing considering brain going into pms mode.
uhoh.
pooty still sleeps - she has not been impressed with the lack of sun- the friggin wind and the darkness.
this year the cold came unusually early.
so they say- people always say things completely contradicting how the weather is usually- my we never get snow-
we never have weather like this.. yes you do.
its just that if you remembered you couldnt say that so you forget.
anyways.
the mood today happy -
the sun is peeping in through the sun room. need some curtains to keep the cold out in there .
need to try and get that windo closed in the hot tub room as well.
chilly.
how boring is this communication people?
and where is tim? he is meant to be contributing to this- but where is he?
i would like to know.
address all complaints to tim gee.

garbage time again
so is everyone aware that tuesday is the new monday?
yes it is. it has become the painful day of the week the day that is the let down from the weekend? maybe its a change in climate that has encouraged this maybe we should ask al gore.
dear al...
i am watching veggie cooking on tv - i ama finding life without a single cookbook rather hard-
my memorized recipes are few and i can get creative but i like a skeleton to base the kitchen creativity around ya know?
today is meant to be miserable- tmrw miserable the next day miserable... rain wise that is.
rain everywhere in washington through to weekend apprently -oh car where art thou?
although now the sun is shining in from the sun room window- the window where my desktop lives where i need to put a shade up - to limit the sun intake while i sit at desk ...
which i need to do asap- for chris and for jennie-
art for a cd cover and art show for a yoga studio.
lets get it on.
then there is the none event of looking for a decent used car ...
so all the visiting pittsburgers have left - my mom's friend Leslie and Erica's peep Alyssa.
all on their way back east ..
good bye pittsburgers.
so yoga studio art show-
plant life? macro plant life?
seems right.
nothing racey or sinister- that excludes quite a bit. ha.
now to consult the external hard drive..
good i need an image cataloging program.

congratulations al gore....go al go algo al!
glove season...F**K
on the way to the toy shop with a lollipop
new leather sofa- its greener then it looks!
sun room coming along- desk here now...
well it's friday it's friday. al gore won the noble peace prize- for making people aware. congrats al - the man who once claimed to invent the internet- although gosh you should have been president as you were actually elected and well you weren't/ are not a single celled - brain celled- war mongoring twat....you have increased awareness.
but hell you wouldnt have put us all over there in iraq -
certainly there should be the reverse of a noble peace award- ? and who should win ? bushy bushy evil tushy. so al you win and bush you do the reverse of winning and you are a cold calculating evil little creatuire that should return with your family back to the layer of death that exists far below the surface of the earth where the creatures feed off of the dead and have no eyes. go away now.
and i am not going to say please.
does anyone think that these days there seems to be alot of organizations increasing awareness of things but not actually doing anything- it's kind of like lethargy with a mask on?
no ?
like we are aware but we all still have our heads up our own arses?
i don't know - maybe like achknowledging an itch but not actually itching it.
which i guess is good in the itch sense but not in the well rounded life sense.
it's friday the brain is ranting - and that is ok.
THE NIGHT OF THE TREE RATS
So two nights ago - it was rainng , erica was round tim had a bad day at work. job fear and insecurity abounded. erica took me to the loveliness of greenwood market to get my shitakes and ginger. we had noodles- whihc weren't made of wheat but soy and are delicious and yum and whatever that is aside from the point.
the rain was coming down- we were outside in the backyard.
then we saw what i thought was a mouse- erica thought a rat.
this was at the beginning of the eve- by the end of the eve these little rat bastards were running all through the trees jumping at each other and squeaking and playing and having way too much fun and well frolicing in our damn trees.
we thought this was like rats gone wild. no one had seen or heard of rats playing in trees but why not? right?
so tim couldnt believe this- and searched online .
as rats just dont do this ( again who am i to say what rats do or don't do...)
so apparently there are american possums- whihc look alot like rats- but the travel in packs- they make a new nest each night and play in trees...
ok so i am looking for good photos of these, i will find them...
erica asked them to show themselves and they did...
another little bugger we have had in our yard - is the stellar jay - who makes a rather aweful sound compared to his cuteness of crest... wildlife abounds in our world on the hill with it's mountain views...

today is tuesday long live tuesday
Erica as a terrorist in a tent - greenwood '07
Seattle's oldest cemetary- Lakeview - where Bruce
and Brandon Lee now "live" or some might say
"rest".
Linda Lee was apprently on her way to visit the grave-
so said a man named Kevin who had been given the go ahead to give the grace a clean. Seeing their graves made me tear up and shuffle about looking at the floor for a bit.
It was a rainy day after we left - and were safely in the car.
And then it rained all day...
King arthur was buried there as well- they all have a really nice view of lake washington- the cemetary is right next to volunteer park-
and like most cemetaries it was an excellent place to take pics.
The end of monday- Tim too tired to open eyes-
our new stripey duvet cover, now time for a warmeer duvet
damn it!
Below: me further harassing tim- when he just cant fight it anymore...
here we are in the pacific north west - the only place in this big expanse known as america where it is not hot- we are not hot here- we have no heat wave and we are only getting more cold bullshit from the freaking pacific ocean- welcome. the heat is on and has been since when? since the temp dropped off the acceptable rating.
so it is meant to rain today, tomorrow, the next day...
yesterday was beautiful if not a bit chilly. talula went off for day with granny and gramps america - for the first real time-
they had fun. i got tim at work and took him to see the record number of salmon that were going throught the salmon ladder in ballard.
erica picked her house to move into- its in between here and ballard.
nice! so early november will be her move out move in.
star wars episode three is on...yoda is fighting- it is 8 am and i get to watch yoda...so lame am i yes?
we are a bit skint at mo- til next pay cheque. got some birthdays coming up: rebecca, my dad, tims dad....some others i am sure - as the world keeps revolving and people we know keep ageing.
ick.
birthday botox anyone?
i am thinking of saving up for some sort of hardcore micro dermabrasion-
yeah blast off my skin someone- high pressured hose is fine...sand blaster =great.
bring it on.
so what is on this weeks agenda? well we visited bruce and brandon-
we need to search for this used car beast.
chairs for the dining table...
deskchair...
tmrw weds the new new sofa will be delivered- to replace this one whihc was delivered last fri and has some damaged areas on the leather and a damaged wooden foot-
thanks Macy's downtown seattle.
they have been completely crap -
and lets hope this next sofas is a ok...
or i will so go down there and kick all their asses...
I had a cuisinart lady in the home electronics get really argumentative with me there - to the point of me saying ok please leave me alone now.
they have stunk so thouroughly in ever aspect of dealing with them-
urgh.
but if the sofa arrives in perfect shape all will be forgiven as its a great sofa and well super comf and wonderful.
leather mmm.
so says the vegetarian.
i cant help it i love leather.
oops.
so we have this really nice green colour that has somewhat incprporated itself subconciously into our lives-
i love it when that happens-
really need a new rug in living room/lounge- as the oriental rug my parents shifted to us- well it isnt swinging right...
that is all so boring .
we have visitors - or other people have visitors this week- erica has alyssa my parents have leslie. pippin may be on his way?
and then there is rebecca at end of november.
nice.
we going to see bat for lashes on the 14th. then on the 20th is a silent art auction for a man on my parents block who suffered brain damage bicycling on the burke gilman trail- down by the canal- on sept fourth and now has the mental capacity of an eleven year old. his wife is a photographer - and wow what a change of path for her. right?
i have to ask erica if she interested in silent art auction as well?
she interviewing the third time with the job she really wants today-
good luck fairy.
i cant find my phone charger.
ok i have mundane morning mind and please pardon me for filling this page with bull.

monday morning greetings and i am presently drinking the mankest coffee i have had in a long while- and my crappy little espresso - whatever- machin has just made me...
it seems to get worse on a daily basis and this is why people you dont buy 29.99 dollar espresso machines- they dont work! well they work but hell you wish they hadn't!
please dont make me drink this mank...mmm monday morning mank.
so it isn't raining right now! after about 48 hrs straight of rain it has stopped.
it was wet.
so this weekend past we tried to take it easy. we didnt get out car hunting as who wants to car hunt used cars and test drive in the driving rain?
not i said the tiniest bear.
so we tried to go to IHOP yesterday to get Tim a real american dining experience ( and by dining i mean big plates of slop narrowly close to being thrown to you in a trough where you eat with the rest of the pigs..) anyway it was filled with sunday morning white trash. whihc was ok but there was a wait and welll rule number 555 never wait for trash.
never.
so then we tried another breaky joint and that panned out equally unwell and surprisingly the people were fatter waiting for this weight- although the dining place more upper crust ..
whos to say where the fatties go eh?
sorry is that two months of hormones and no period for two months - and crazy crazy hormones building up and making me highly cruel.
watch yerself!
watching a news report on special needs cheerleaders- not what i expect to see before 8 am.
happy october first everyone!
can anyone explain where september went?
we have now been here three months- and in some ways it is still like a vacation and in other ways it is very much like it has been this way forever.
Gee family! we missed you at weekend!
i will soon have my big boy machine up and running- and have the DV camera on that- so i think there will be many ops for better conversations - and better quality footage. and i will send some pics through by email today so appease yer oggling needs for pics of da poots!and now i will also put some here to appease everyone else who may come across this and say " why does she keep blithering on..lets have some pics..."
here they are..
ok from here i will say see you later, i am writing to andrew who i have hear hide nor hair from since leaving the UK-
hello jonesey - i miss!!x
we are still waiting for our new sofa-hello?
our garden is looking lovely- a lovely herb thang going on ( pinapple mint, lavenderthyme, rosemary, english lavender) and some ornamental kale, pansies and some beautiful saliva!!
bring on the sun please as i want to plant more... more edibles and some pretties!
ok bye for now.xx
